Updated on 2024-10-28 Monday from Tokyo, Japan
Wearing a light fleece today; now I know summer’s behind us and winter’s on the way. (Alas, autumn’s getting squished between these two.)
Here is a selection of October’s Now moments:
Finished reading Liu Cixin’s “The Three-Body Problem”
I enjoyed this story very much and was intrigued by how the author included significant amounts of both recent Chinese history and the necessary science (mainly physics) for the lay reader’s benefit.
Started reading Philip K. Dick’s 1968 novel, “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?”
I picked this one up again because of the convergence of humanoid robotics and machine learning technologies. Blade runner 2029?
Published some microfiction here on this site: markmccluretoday.com

Well, that’s it for this month.
The next NOW update will be published on 28 November, 2024.
