Updated on 2024-04-28 Sunday from Tokyo, Japan
The weather’s warm and Japan’s “golden week” holiday has begun.
Here’s how my month looked to date:
Finished reading Andy Weir’s Project Hail Mary and started a biography (Fitzroy) by John & Mary Gribbin. Robert Fitzroy captained HMS Beagle (famous passenger, Charles Darwin) and is hailed as the inventor of weather forecasting.
Interval Walking or Slow Jogging? I’m reluctant to drop running but protecting my kness may force the issue. I often see “interval walkers” in my local park, and they’re almost all golden oldies. Japan’s NHK covered the topic in this video: “New Findings on Walking and Running” (English transcript.) https://emb3.nhk.or.jp/nhkworld/en/ondemand/video/2050153/
Still messing about with the web3 decentralized social media app, Warpcast. Packed with crypto true-believers and some curious “normies”. I fit into the latter category. Not sure about this one. I’ll give it the rest of 2024 and then review whether to stay or exit.
“You find out who you are by acting naturally.” A Zen koan I read online somewhere. I may be overacting my part!
That’s it for this month.
The next NOW update will be published on 28 May, 2024.
Be well, and be happy.
